I founded Ibis Communication in 2004 having spent 5 years with specialist internal communication agency MCA, which subsequently became part of what is now Brand Union. My goal then – as now – was to provide clients with strategic guidance and practical support across the full spectrum of internal communication activity.
My main interest now is helping clients to better understand the communication challenge they face and how best to address it. Oh, and I’m passionate about measurement. Clients include most of those on our client list plus plenty like them and we have a growing business in the Middle East.
Home is in Buckinghamshire where I live with my wife, two children and an unruly Labrador. Work, home and dog take up much of my time but I just about manage to fit in football (playing, coaching and watching), tennis and keeping fit generally. Eons ago I obtained a degree at what is now Leeds Metropolitan University and more recently completed an MBA from Warwick University.

I have worked predominantly in agency-side consumer and business to business marketing, across diverse industry segments from technology to pharma, government and consumer electronics.
Shifting my focus to the digital and online space over 10 years ago, I am fascinated by the business and social impacts of technology on our organisations, society and consumer behaviour.
Working closely with end-customers through research and user centred methodologies I have seen the gap between consumers and employees narrowing. This shift has created significant challenges and opportunities for the enterprise. My main interest is in helping companies to surmount the challenges whilst getting the most out of Enterprise 2.0.
I live in London with my fiancé and have a madly busy social life. Passionate about good food and drink, I have a side project creating private tasting experiences.
I have a Communications degree (specialising in Advertising and Marketing) from the University of Canberra. I am also a part of the Courvoisier "The Future 500" network for business entrepreneurs in the UK.

On paper my background is in digital project management, but I have consistently gravitated towards internal communications. I started agency-side at Saltmine in London and Chicago, managing the technical team that built BP's first global Intranet portal, as well as working with Microsoft UK. I also spent 3 years in-house at Vodafone, where in addition to being the producer on its .com site I was involved with many internal projects, such as the organisation’s first global CEO email and corporate IPTV.
Human and organisational factors are what fascinate me the most. Accordingly, my key focus is helping communicators develop intelligent, realistic approaches to engaging with technologies (and the partners required to deliver them).
I live with my wife and child in Buckinghamshire. An interest in games development soaks up the spare time left after work and family, and very occasionally leads to professional assignments. My degree is in Publishing from what is now the University of the Arts, London (UK).
